All I can say is "GO WINGS!"

... to watch this and not shed a tear or be inspired.

Well the 2009 Relay For Life has drawn to a close and it was a total success! Team Daphne was once again a great success, having at least one representative on the track for the full 24 hours. Thanks again for all those who contributed; as a result of our collective work and charity the event raised over $142,000!

Karin and I recently went on a trip to San Diego and Hawaii. In San Diego we visited with Larry and Marissa, and Marissa's cousin from the Carey side Matt. It was great fun!

In Hawaii (Oahu to be specific), we spent time with Karin's family, saw the sites, and attended her nephew David's 6th grade graduation. It too was great fun.

Note: a special thanks goes out to Marissa, who took many of the better San Diego pictures. Sadly, I was not allowed to take any pictures of her (due to her pregnant state), so she is the auteur only on this one!

It's that time of year again, and Team Daphne is reconvening tomorrow to whoop it up at the Kalamazoo Relay For Life 2009! Pictures will be coming in the near future, so watch out for those. Big ups to the new members of Team Daphne, and even bigger ups to all the returning members. Hopefully the weather will be great, and we will help raise a bundle of dough for the American Cancer Society.
