These guys, the <a href="http://www.downholers.com/index.aspx">Ramsay Downholers</a>, are a beer-league hockey team in the Calgary area who started a reality-style show of their own. Watching this, I laughed out loud and was reminded of many of the characters I share a locker room with every week. Apparently they are trying to get their show on TV and have a pilot that is being shopped in Canada. I sure hope on of the US channels picks this up so I can watch it. Until then, at least we can watch it via their <a href="http://www.downholers.com/index.aspx">website</a>.</p> <p>This video is a brief introduction to the team. For any who may not yet know we lost a dear member of our family last week, my Grandmother Daphne Schirripa. I wanted to post this so that everyone could be aware that there are two online memory boards that can be posted to in her honor.

It was started by some guy not hired to do it, but because the cause is important to him. He came up with this idea, and now it's being hailed across the world as a "beautiful" commercial. While I am a bit sad that the Red Wings are out of the playoffs and done until the fall, my feelings of appreciation were perfectly described this morning on NPR by sports commentator John U. Bacon.
